Director of Wholesale Operations
Jendayi Small is responsible for all of Sullivan Street Bakery’s day-to-day wholesale operations in New York City. She has trained for years in nearly every division of the bakery in order to oversee the wholesale production process from start to finish. As wholesale manager, she works closely with our wholesale accounts, our head bakers, and our senior management team to ensure that the round-the-clock operations of Sullivan Street Bakery are on time and accurate, producing exceptional loaves of bread while also sustaining Sullivan Street Bakery’s quirky personality and sense of fun. Jendayi manages the driving, packing, and wholesale office divisions, plots the delivery of thousands of pieces of bread a day in conditions ranging from parades to hurricanes, and maintains extraordinarily high standards for workplace banter. Her motto is, “as long as work can get done, why shouldn’t it be fun?” She is a New York native whose family hails from Barbados, is a graduate of CUNY City Tech with a B.S. in Biomedical Informatics, loves mangoes, travelling, and learning new languages, and is pursuing a M.P.H. with a focus in epidemiology and biostatistics.
